Office of the Vermont Attorney General

Community Initiative at Mad River Valley Senior Center

March 8, 2017

Lawyers from the Attorney General’s Human Services and Civil Divisions presented a plain language guide to judicial processes and legal concepts that can protect Vermonters as they begin to age. The guide explains the concepts of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Additionally, the guide describes some resources and legal documents that may be available through the courts to protect people. The presentation also offered information on who to call and what to expect if a person believes they or a loved one might have been a victim.
