For the second year in a row, Attorney General Donovan, members of the General Counsel and Administrative Law Division, and other parts of the AGO assisted the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) in presenting Financial Wellness Day, an event devoted to connecting New Americans with financial literacy resources. Members of our Consumer Assistance Program provided information about avoiding financial scams, General Donovan scooped ice cream with Treasurer Beth Pearce and WCAX’s Gary Sadowsky, and AGO staff helped children and families with everything from glitter tattoos, to a bounce house, to general assistance with navigating the resources on site. The event also featured the Lake Monsters’ Champ and was again held at the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation building in Winooski. The AGO looks forward to hopefully making this a new tradition with CVOEO.
