Consumer Protection visits Richford as part of our Landlord Restoration Program – providing tips and tools on how to comply with Vermont’s lead safety laws

August 20, 2019

Our Consumer Protection team drove to Richford August 20th as part of our Landlord Restoration Program – providing tips and tools on how to comply with Vermont’s lead safety laws.

We were delighted to meet with a wonderful group of Richford residents who asked great questions and who have deep connections to the area and who agreed to help spread the word about the program. More important, we are able to bring the EMP (essential maintenance practices) training to Enosburg (right next door) in September so that all participants as well as folks from the surrounding area can become certified to do inspections and perform EMPs. This is a great asset to landlords and occupants in their communities to continue to make progress in ensuring more safe, affordable housing throughout Vermont.

Thank you, Richford (and special thanks to State Representatives Lisa Hango and Charen Fegard for inviting us to Richford and helping to host the event at the Town Hall)!
