The Attorney General’s Office today announced that Andrew Sollace, 43, of Montpelier, Vermont, was sentenced in Vermont Superior Court, Washington Criminal Division, after pleading guilty to two felony counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials and to violating his deferred sentence on a previous Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material case.
After a contested sentencing hearing, the Court, Judge John Pacht presiding, sentenced Mr. Sollace to serve 18 months to five years in prison, all suspended except for 45 days. In addition, Mr. Sollace will serve a 10-year term of probation without the possibility of early termination. Mr. Sollace’s probation conditions mandate that he complete sex offender treatment, have no contact with children, and have restricted access to electronic devices and the internet. If Mr. Sollace violates the terms of his probation, he faces a maximum of 15 years in prison. Mr. Sollace will be required to register as a sex offender until 10 years after the completion of his sentence.
