The Vermont Attorney General’s Office has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Attorney General in the Transportation Legal Unit, the team providing legal services to the Agency of Transportation (AOT). This position offers the opportunity to serve the public in an exciting, dynamic practice and be an integral part of State government, in addition to workplace flexibility and very competitive benefits.

The Attorney General’s Office seeks a motivated and creative individual to serve as Legislative and Policy Intern during the spring 2025 semester. This position will involve direct interaction with the Attorney General, legislators and other statewide policy makers. This intern will spend 10-20 hours/week on this internship, from January into May (actual hours flexible depending on course schedules and whether the candidate is seeking academic credit).

The Vermont Attorney General’s Office has an immediate opening for a full-time assistant attorney general in the Environmental Protection Unit to work on legal matters for the Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets. The Environmental Protection Unit is part of the Environmental and Public Protection Division of the Attorney General’s Office.   

The Attorney General’s Office’s (AGO’s) Communications Intern will serve during the fall 2024 semester. The intern will report to the Outreach and Communications Coordinator of the AGO. This intern will spend 5-10 hours/week on this internship. Ideally, the intern would be currently pursuing a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Policy, Political Science, Communications, Law, or a similar field. The internship will be largely remote, but may require some in-person work, such as attending press conferences.
