Broadcaster Annual Reporting

30 V.S.A. § 518(b) requires that each commercial broadcasting station doing business with a Vermont cable company report to the Attorney General any fees charged for program content retransmitted on the cable network under a retransmission consent agreement entered into pursuant to 47 U.S.C. § 325. These reports must be provided to the Attorney General annually, beginning on January 1, 2016, for the prior calendar year. Reports are due on March 31.

Each commercial broadcasting station’s report to the Attorney General should provide the following information for each cable company with which the broadcaster has entered into a retransmission agreement:

a) The channels for which fees are charged, and

b)The amount of fees charged for each channel for the calendar year.

Broadcasters should provide their reports to the Attorney General in an excel spreadsheet to ago.BroadcastersReporting@vermont.gov
