Submit a Public Records Request

There are two ways to submit a public records requests to the Attorney General’s Office, which are listed below.

PLEASE NOTE: Requests for records in the custody of other State offices must be directed to those offices. The Attorney General’s Office is able to produce only records for which it is the custodian.

Click here to submit a public records request with the AGO. You may also submit a public records request via email at ago.publicrecordsrequests@vermont.gov.

By Mail

You can make your public records request by mailing the AGO – however, please be aware that due to recent flooding, there will be delay in receiving requests sent via paper mail at this time. If you cannot submit your request electronically, you may mail your request to the following address, which will delay its receipt: Vermont Office of the Attorney General Attn: Public Records Act Request 109 State Street Montpelier, VT 05609
